People's Network, Chengdu, September 18 (Reporter Wang Yongzhan) reporter just learned from the series of press conferences on economic and social development achievements in Sichuan that up to now, 352 top 500 enterprises have settled in Sichuan, of which 247 are overseas top 500, ranking first in the central and Western regions.

At the press conference, Liu Xin, Director of the Department of Commerce of Sichuan Province, introduced that Sichuan is promoting a new situation of "four-way expansion and all-round opening up", promoting development through opening up, actively and effectively utilizing foreign capital, and approving more than 12.7 million foreign-invested enterprises. At the same time, the carrier of open cooperation is constantly upgrading. Since the approval of the Sichuan FTA, the implementation rate of 159 reform tasks entrusted by the central government has reached 95.8%. More than 500 institutional innovations have been achieved. Six empirical cases, such as the centralized transportation mode between China and Europe, and the front-end service of export rebate for production-oriented export enterprises, have been replicated and popularized throughout the country.

Sichuan is the forefront of opening up the West and an important fulcrum to participate in the construction of "one belt and one road". From 2013 to July 2019, the total value of goods import and export in Sichuan along the "one belt and one road" area totaled 802 billion 800 million yuan. Sichuan enterprises have also created a number of "Chinese business cards" such as the Ethiopian National Railway and the Argentine National Railway Reconstruction Project.

Reporters learned that 31 passageways have been built to enter and leave Sichuan, and the "Shudao difficulty" has become a history. In the construction of open corridors, more than 3,900 Chinese-European classes have been opened from Chengdu, and the growth rate of freight value and comprehensive heavy haul rate ranks first in the country. In terms of airport construction, Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport has 121 international routes. Last year, the passenger throughput was nearly 6 million, and the passenger throughput was nearly 53 million. Chengdu Tianfu International Airport will be completed in 2020. Chengdu will become a rare double airport operation city in China.

In terms of foreign exchanges, Sichuan has established 288 pairs of international friendly cities and friendly cooperative relations, ranking first in the central and Western regions. At the conference, the responsible person of Sichuan Development and Reform Commission said that after the founding of New China, the total foreign trade volume of Sichuan has achieved a great leap forward, the number of foreign trade entities has reached new heights, and the service trade has achieved new results. Sichuan is also actively implementing General Secretary Xi Jinping's proposal that "we should promote the coordinated opening of inland and coastal border rivers to create a three-dimensional environment." The important instructions of "overall opening pattern" give full play to the unique advantages of Sichuan FTA.
